VMERS Board of Trustees
Purpose of the Board of Trustees
The general administration and responsibility for the proper operation of the System is vested in the Board of Trustees. The Board consists of five members: State Treasurer, Governor's delegate and three members elected by the members of the System. The Chair is elected by the Board and acts as executive officer of the Board.

Board Meetings
Board meetings are open to the public. Members and other interested parties are welcome to attend at any time. Any administrative appeal or other claim should be addressed to the Board in writing for action at its next meeting. The Board generally meets once a month.
