VSRS Board of Trustees

Purpose of the Board of Trustees

The general administration and responsibility for the proper operation of the System is vested in the Board of Trustees. The Board consists of eight members: State Treasurer, Governor's delegate, Commissioner of Personnel, Commissioner of Finance & Management, elected representative of the Vermont Retired State Employee's Association (VRSEA) and three members selected by the Vermont State Employee's Association (VSEA) to represent the active employees. The Chair is elected by the Board and acts as executive officer of the Board.

Board meetings are open to the public. Members and other interested parties are welcome to attend at any time. Any administrative appeal or other claim should be addressed to the Board in writing for action at its next meeting. The Board generally meets once a month.
