Details
BROC provides financial literacy classes through the IDA Assets for Opportunity Savings Program utilizing the "Dollar Sense" curriculum. BROC also provides one-on-one credit counseling through the Micro-Business Development Program. The BROC home office is in Rutland, with a satellite office in Bennington.

Credit Union of Vermont

Resource for Teens and Adults
Details
Individual money management counseling is offered to credit union members on such topics as budgeting and debt management. Employees also are available to present in area schools on financial management. Curriculum used includes the National Endowment for Financial Education High School Financial Planning Program. Financial education services are free.

A home buyer education workshop helps prepare participants to purchase a home. Topics covered include budgeting and credit, assessing your readiness to buy and getting a mortgage loan. Cost is $50 per person or $60 per household.

TD Bank

Details
The TD Bank WOW! Zone is an online, interactive learning tool for children and teens and provides valuable information about money, saving, banking and investing. TD Bank WOW! Zone also provides grade appropriate lesson plans for educators on a range of financial topics and gives parents helpful suggestions for talking to kids about money. Inquiries and arrangements for presenters are coordinated through the Public Affairs Officer. Employees from all of TD Bank offices regularly participate in financial literacy efforts.
