Treasurer Pieciak & Interim Secretary Bouchey to Serve as Co-Chairs

The legislative session is right around the corner, and one agency is already looking for input from Vermonters on how to go green.

The $55.5 million is being invested into the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, and the Vermont Economic Development Authority to support new housing across the state.

Vermont’s treasurer, Mike Pieciak, said estimates indicate the money could spur construction of more than 1,000 housing units.

It’s the state’s first bond offering in more than two years.

The School Construction Aid Task Force will have its first working meeting this Friday, September 22 at 1 pm.

State Treasurer Mike Pieciak will host “From Idea to Investment: Capital Strategies for Vermont Entrepreneurs,” a panel discussion featuring the SEC Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation to explore pathways for Vermont's small businesses and startups to access capital.

The request for public comment is issued in connection with a legislative directive for the Treasurer to consider frameworks that would maximize collaboration and resources among state, federal, private, and nonprofit entities to mitigate the impacts of climate change in Vermont.
