VSTRS Vermont Blue Advantage PPO Enrollment

Medicare-Eligible Retirees and Dependents

All Vermont Blue Advantage (VBA) applications must be signed and dated on or after October 5, 2023 for an effective date of January 1, 2024.

What is the cost:  Rates for the VBA plans are going up by 3% this year. All VSTRS Medicare premium rates for 2024 can be found HERE.

If you are currently enrolled in either the VEHI or VBA VSTRS 65 plan and pay a $0 premium, you will continue to pay a $0 premium in 2024.

In order to make a change send in the appropriate form by November 10, 2023 for changes effective January 1, 2024.  If you miss the deadline and wish to make a change before the new year, you may still make a change, however you may not receive your new plan information before the end of the year.

If you are not currently enrolled and wish to enroll, please consult the pre-enrollment kit below. The pre-enrollment kit includes the following documents for the plan year 2024:

Completed VBA or BCBSVT VSTRS forms must be returned to the Retirement Office by email at Tre.RetirementBenefitPayroll@vermont.gov or by mail at 109 State St. 4th Floor, Montpelier, VT 05609.

Please note: Vermont Blue Advantage is a PPO plan with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in Vermont Blue Advantage depends on contract renewal.
